One comment on your remarks yesterday about the URLs, most of which I agreed
with.... Rather than using just a URN for references, we've said all along
that you should use a URN with some cached URLs. The URLs provide speedy access
*if they are valid*, if the resource has moved, you have to refresh your cache
with a URN-> URL lookup. This gives us a persistent name independent of
net location, but if we know what the location is (a cached URL) and it is still
valid, we can just grab the resource. This is much like having a phone number
for an old friend. If you have it, you don't call Directory Assistance unless
the number is no good anymore.
