Let it be known that Simon _is writing_ the PDU library we're using. Feel
better? :-)

No good reason? Do you want your parser to have to know _every_ protocol
tag there is rather than just look for URL:? As protocols x,y,z,... begin
using URLs do you want to rewrite your parser every time? Its obviously
not valid to say "I'll just ignore the ones I don't know" because it is
useful to cache _all_ urls at times, not just the ones you know how to
deal with. A directory service is the obvious example of that. As a
directory service I want to find all URLs in the world and let you search
them and you can keep the ones _you_ know how to deal with.
