Tim,
After we finished reinventing the wheel yesterday, we went over the outstanding
controversial issues, their was strong concensus on each - this is
a warning so you know what the thinking is, I'm not sure if we are multicast
today.
3,6) Fragments - these were deleted long ago
9) News - retain existing, but add new method, I'll write it. Open to
whether it has seperate protocol tag, or same one.
15) Gopher+ - the gopher team will write this
16) Gopher type - retained
?) Ftp type - ftp needs type information to specify whether the
transfer method is Text, Binary or a Directory, we are open to how this
should appear, and it was suggested that the WWW crew should figure out
where this field should appear and what it should contain to minimise
impact. - Any preferences?
?) Dot at end of FQDN - Out
The only thing not discussed in that meeting was the < and > around the URLs
Sorry for the brief summary, now off to the meeting.
