Subject: URL document progress
Just out of curiosity (no value judgment, at least at this point :-),
who's running this group? I can think of 3 obvious possibilities, and
maybe there are more - (1) Erik H., (2) the chairs Alan E. and Jim F.,
(3) the members of the WG. [(4) calling birds, (5) gold rings, ...]
By the way, while I'm on administrative things, who are the people,
besides me who expressed a willingness to actually participate in
writing the overall architecture document? I believe that that is
sorely needed and we should push ahead with that. I'd like to find a
time in Seattle for that very small group of people (should be no more
than 3-4) to work out how we will make this happen and preferably do
some preplanning before Seattle. Please send me mail privately (not
to the whole list), so that we can get this organized, written and out
for comments. If you agreed to do this, but can't be in Seattle,
please let me know that also. This is not the group of people who
will do all the arguing about the content - that will go to the whole
mailing list, but only those people who really have time and interest
to write. So, you will certainly NOT be left out by not volunteering
to write.
