Can be summarised as Erik was unclear :-)
I think I said (and I meant:)
A spec based on unfocussed assumptions and different architectural
views (depending on whom you are talking to) stands little chance of
acceptance as Standards track RFC.
The Spec is ambiguous in some places and unclear for people who have
not been involved in the discussions. As Erik is responsible for the
IESG review he does not want to get involved at this point yet, but he
has found Ned Freed from the Area Directorate prepared to help
tightening the spec.

Erik suggested these people, the chairs took the suggestion and the
nominated people accepted, sounds much nicer.
