At the last meeting, we established a working plan that Mark McCahill
would get the ascii text linearized version of the URL specification,
modify the 'gopher' section as agreed by the committee, and that I
would then get it and make the 'ftp' edits, and then, after a round of
review by the group, we would forward the URL document on.

I haven't heard from Mark since Interop, at which time he thought he
would be able to get to the URL document within a week. Of course
we're all busy -- I know I was weeks late on the URN document. On the
other hand, I think we must make more progress before the Toronto
meeting.

I know we have a lot to work on with URIs and URNs and URCs and URDs
and UREs, but I really do think our credibility is on the line if we
can't get the URL document out.

I propose moving forward without Mark's input on the gopher section,
and merging in his revision of that section when he can get around to
it. Are there any objections to this?
